HOOLIGANS

Help! I'm at my wits end! Have you ever had one of those days when your kids just flat out won't do a single thing you've asked them to? Ok, so for me it's practically daily, but today is extra bad. My boys have been in their room for 5 hours now....not 5 minutes, 5 HOURS....to tackle the task of cleaning their room. It shouldn't have been too hard. I cleaned it last week (Which was super yucky by the way) and there are 2 of them.

Tasks to be completed: 1)make beds 2) pick up garbage 3) put away battleship game 4) clear off closet shelf.

Tactics at getting them to do it: 1) Bribe with a movie on Saturday (only Meilia gets to do this now....yup. she's 3 and got her room done) 2) No lunch until it's done (we are way past lunch time nowand the boys claim starvation) 3) swats on the fanny with a spoon on the hour every hour till it's done. I have successfully delivered 3 hours worth of swats to no avail. It has been upon warning of the 4th...and might I add really hard whoopin's....that they have finally started moving. What has taken them 5 hours to get to, they are acccomplishing in 15 minutes.

Next time, no bribes. Just straight to the big time whoopin'! So call the cops! I live with one and he knows what I've been up to.
